State Winners Announced in National Chicken Cooking Contest

CONGRATULATIONS to the 51 home cooks who have been named the winners of their respective states in the National Chicken Cooking Contest! The list is shown below. State winners will each receive $100. Their entries will go on to the regional level of judging. One state-level winner from each of the nine official regions of the country will be selected as a finalist to attend the National Cook-Off on May 2, 2009, at the Culinary Institute of the Americas in San Antonio, Texas. Each regional winner will receive $1,000 and will compete for the Grand Prize of $50,000 and the Judge’s Choice award of $10,000. Good luck to all, and may the best cook win!
